This was my biggest concern. I assumed having all those lights right on your head would get really hot after 10 minutes. It doesnt. Mine gets a tiny bit warm but nothing uncomfortable at all. The cap is also lighter than it looks in the pictures. Been much easier to stick with than I expected.

The quality is good, the only problem is aesthetics, it does not look pretty but does what it says, use it 40 mins every other day

The led control board emits a very high pitched tone, very close to my right ear. Have used for two days.

All the lights work, and it gets warm, but i'm unsure if i can endure the sound.

I will try covering the control board/button housing with something to dampen the sound, but it's pretty disappointing too have to do this with a newly bought item.

Is this really the same idea as the $800 caps?

LumaCrown uses red (660 nm) and near-infrared (850 nm) LEDs — the same red-light range the premium caps are built around — plus a blue (460 nm) scalp mode. Premium caps may use more diodes, lasers instead of LEDs, or carry FDA clearance, and that's part of what you pay for. What you won't pay for here is the celebrity deal and the TV ad.

How long is a session, and how often?

Each session is 20 minutes and the cap switches itself off. Most people wear it daily or every other day — pick a time you're already sitting still, like the couch, the desk or a gaming session. Consistency matters more than anything else.

When will I notice anything?
